Words of Encouragement

July 15th, 2009 by Rob Willis Leave a reply »

For those of us that have not yet succeeded in our Internet Marketing journey, we all have days where we think,”Is it all worth it?”.

Let me assure you, that you will only win if you persist.

I, as much as any of you, have had those days, and in may ways more so.

You see I have spent many, many dollars on Internet training. And I will admit, I have had my fair share of scams to the tune of several thousands of dollars. But I still persist.

And why is that you may ask? It is because, even though I have invested a lot of money in my education, I have learnt many, many lessons. And to give up would to be flush all of that money down the toilet.

You see, every dollar spent on self education, is money well spent. We do not always receive what we expect. But we will always receive a lesson of one kind or another.

As I said, I have spent many dollars with other companies that have promised me the answers that I seek. And most of these have not delivered 5 dollars to my bottom line. However, each have taught me a little something I did not know before.

Were each of these lessons worth what I paid for them? Probably not! But we cannot dwell on our losses. We can only learn from our experiences, be it good or bad, and them move on.

We must learn that everyone has a story to tell us. Some have words of encouragement, & others have words of warning. I have always said, “We need to learn from the experience of others, It takes too long to learn these things for ourselves.”

I have much to offer to those that come after me. Even if it is a word of warning to not go down this road.

As Jim Rohn says, Failures should write down their stories so we can heed their warnings.

I suppose what I am getting at is do not give up, no matter what hurdles are placed in your way. “That which does not kill you, will only make you stronger.”

We are all in this life together. We all have much to learn from each other. However, please beware of those that are only playing this game for themselves. “The Leechers” of life so to speak.

The lessons each of us learn are invaluable & can in turn be of great benefit to those around us.

But never forget, that everyone we meet, could possibly have that missing piece of the puzzle that we ourselves seek.

    nice one..

I myself believe that everyone you meet can teach you something. Either it’s positive or negative stuff. Since that’s what makes us who we are. If you were a victim of a “scam” type of internet marketing class then you would be vary and very picky. To the point that when you find a good class or mentoring programme you will see the value in it.

And as you said, everyone has something of a puzzle piece that fills us 🙂

    Thanks for your input guys.

Although we each have our own direction in business & life, the occasional pat on the back by those around us, makes the journey so much more enjoyable.

I’m sure that we all have very similar feelings in the stages that we’re in with internet marketing. We might be feeling overworked and underpaid right now, but thankfully for you, you’re fueling the motivation to push as hard as we can.

This is a very inspirational post. I have been at this internet marketing thing for almost 3 years now and I am still not making enough to get by. It’s really rough some times but I still haven’t given up. I joined this coaching program and I feel that it has given me that extra boost that I needed to get over my hurdles.

Great advice! Keep moving forward, never get up!

This is a great post, Rob. We have all been guilty of wasting money on some hyped-up product which failed to deliver at one point but it’s always a lesson well learned!

I am looking forward to more from you.

    Keep in touch.

The lessons we learn in lofe can often come from the most unlikely sources.

I’ve also spent many thousands of dollars to help make those gurus richer than they already are. My consolation is that money they stole from me will eventually burn a hole in their wallet and hopefully their backside.
I did quit but came back and what do you know, I came across Alex Jeffreys and many of his friends! I couldn’t be in better hands.

    Hi Rob.
Being a new member of Alex’s course I am look down the members list and trying to look at all you guys blogs. The first reason is to say Hi, how you doing. Second reason I am looking for ideas, you guys are all into this much further than I am, Your post about encouragement really hit the spot for me. You are so right in saying You never know who you can learn the most insignificant piece of information from.
Ok enough from me I think.

    Best of luck.

    Regards Steve.

      Steve,
Yes we may be a little further down the road, and many of us are still learning.

However, please look at us as guiding lights, helping to show the way.

We have all made mistakes, and we are happy to share the warnings, so your path will be so much smoother.

      To Your Success,

      Rob
