Traffic Attracting Ideas For A Newly Created Website.

October 11th, 2009

Now you have created your new website and you’re keen to start making some money! But, how can you make money if you do not have large numbers of traffic to your website?

One of the biggest challenges which people starting a new online business discover is that of attracting visitors to their website. You will discover 4 important steps that you should follow to begin attracting traffic to your site within this report.

1. – Make sure that the content of your website is original. Websites are looked at by the search engine robots on a regular basis looking for sites with new and fresh content. It is therefore imperative for you to publish new and great quality content that will get your site quickly indexed by the search engines.

2. – Your website must have all your keywords. It is important that you have all the relevant keywords and phrases that relate to your subject on your web pages and any articles you post on your site. This will improve your website rating on search engines which means that your site will rank higher when people search for keywords associated with your subject on the search engines. You should therefore get more traffic to your website via the search engines. People will spend more time on your site, when they see the high quality content and stay longer, and ultimately purchase your product or service that you sell or join your mailing list.

3. – You will need to submit your website to the search engines because it is new. An important step in getting more visitors from the search engines is to submit your URL to them so the search engines are aware of your site. When people look for information related to your niche in the search engines, they will be able to find your website by having the URL of your site listed by the search engines.

4. – Swap some website links with websites that have a high popularity rank (PR). An effective way to drive more traffic to your website is to exchange links with already popular and related websites. This will also help your site to improve its ranking. You will get some visitors coming to your site through other websites that you have swapped links with.

By using the ideas outlined in the report, you will realize that improving your website traffic and getting more people to visit your new website can be very simple to do. By following these four simple steps you should see an increase of visitors to your site which should result in an increase in sales and online profits for your internet business.

Traffic Generation with Alex Jeffreys

July 31st, 2009

Traffic GenerationI have just finished a coaching call with Alex Jeffreys, who some of you may know through www.marketingwithyou.com and also his Marketing With Alex coaching course.

Now as I have mentioned in an earlier Blog posts, I have been trying to be successful in Internet Marketing for a couple of years now, and in that time have made a couple of dollars, but nowhere near enough to do this fulltime.

In fact most of my websites, I was unable to even entice someone enough to subscribe to my newsletter. My two most successful sites have been Teach Children About Money (which I built from scratch) and Web 2.0 Traffic Stampede (which was a PLR product).

With both of the above sites, the majority of my traffic came from PPC methods, although Teach Children About Money, does generate a fair amount of organic traffic now days.

That aside, the call with Alex this morning was about generating traffic through Social Media methods. In a nutshell, the key is to attract traffic to your own blog by giving value to someone else’s. That is, post constructive comments on other people’s blogs, and hopefully people will find your comments valuable enough to come and visit your own site.

Now I have been working on this blog for about the last four weeks, and on average I have been getting 7 to 10 visitors per day, with a max of 22 hits.

This can be a little discouraging, when you hear that some of the other students are getting 100 + hits per day.

This morning, Alex gave us a challenge to see who, over the next two weeks, can generate the greatest increase in our traffic numbers.

So here is my plan:

  1. Update my blog regularly.
  2. Add value to the blogs of others.
  3. Generate traffic using Article Marketing (I use Article Marketing Automation for this)
  4. Create a video about my Internet Marketing experiences and post it on the video websites.
  5. Use Twitter to generate traffic.
  6. Study the Traffic Secrets 2.0 study guide (which I already have)
  7. Use the Traffic Generation Club for ideas
  8. Use www.pingomatic.com and www.pingoat.com to advertise my blog elsewhere
  9. Study the Alex’s videos on the subject.
  10. Use the traffic tactics as described in the Web 2.0 Traffic Stampede
  11. Add a video to my own blog

Now these are just a few ideas off the top of my head, but I will keep you posted on other methods I discover as I go along.

Now all of this is going to take a lot of time and effort, so I will probably not get much sleep over the coming weeks. But I am told it will be all worth it.

I look forward to sharing my progress with you over the next few weeks.

Please feel free to post a comment & let me know your favourite tip for traffic generation.

To Your Success,

Rob

Here’s a Quick and Easy Way to Attract New Clients

July 22nd, 2009

Traffic Generation ClubYou can have the best product or service in the world. You can have a killer sales letter that could sell a pint of whiskey to a nun. But if you don’t have any prospects seeing your offer, you won’t make a cent.

That’s why we marketers spend so much time, effort and money trying to put our offers in front of targeted leads. But it doesn’t have to be that hard… not when you know which marketing methods work best.

Here are three proven tactics you can start using today…

#1: Social Media Marketing

Savvy marketers know that social media marketing is in its infancy – and it’s set to explode in the coming years! Those who set up their social marketing campaigns now are the ones who will benefit the most in the future.

That’s because social media marketing is all about building relationships with others and building networks and contact lists. The sooner you get started building a good reputation in your niche, establishing yourself as an expert and building social media networks, the more you stand to gain when you fully leverage your reputation, content and networks.

So where do you start? With the some of the biggest social media sites, including:

  • Web 2.0 content sites, like Squidoo.com. These sites let you page one-page websites around niche topics. Google tends to crawl these pages often and rank them well.
  • Social networking sites like Facebook.com. While you should focus on finding or creating niche-specific groups on these general networking sites, be sure to always seek out niche-specific networking sites.
  • Social bookmarking sites, like Digg.com. These sites allow users to share content – and they can be a great tool in your viral marketing campaigns.

#2: Search Engine Marketing

You can pull in traffic from the search engines in two ways:

  • By ranking well for certain keywords and appearing in the organic search engine results.
  • By using pay per click marketing to appear in the search engine’s sponsored results (for example, Google AdWords).

You should add both of these tactics to your marketing toolkit. That’s because organic search engine results can provide traffic for months (and even years) after you get your pages indexed. But on the flip side, pay per click marketing allows you to get highly targeted, nearly instant traffic.

#3: Buying Ads

Yet another way to get your offers in front of eager prospects is by placing targeted ads. You can do this by online and offline, including:

  • Purchasing banner and text ads on highly targeted niche sites.
  • Buying ads and solo ads in highly targeted niche ezines.
  • Buying blog ads.
  • Buying ads in offline publications, including niche magazines and the related topics of daily newspapers.

Which One Is Right For You?

This isn’t a matter of choosing the one tactic that provides the best results. And that’s because all three of these tactics are proven, time-tested marketing methods. They shouldn’t be used individually, but rather as part of your overall marketing strategy.

While powerful, these three main advertising methods are just the tip of the marketing iceberg. When you unleash these three alongside other equally powerful marketing methods, you’ll unleash an early unstoppable flow of qualified leads.
