Also, one resource that has helped me help people more (even though I already had a Ph.D. in psychology) was getting involved about 10 years ago with a men's group that permitted me to accept myself at a greater level. They have many members in Australia so you might want to consider them as a "growth experience" that could help you understand and help others, as a coach or just as a person.
