Identifying your own motivation is an absolute necessity, you cannot rely on others to constantly be there to encourage you. Use whatever approach it takes to motivate yourself. Having a positive mindset will allow you complete even the most daunting of jobs.

Many of the systems and guides that are available today, are simply not applicable or relevant to you or your situation. So prior to employing any tools, ideas and techniques, you should get your head around the basic concepts .

Time management cannot be assigned a precise definition however it can be simply described as a set of techniques allowing you to use your time in terms of efficiency and by doing this you are supposed to achieve success and harmony in all aspects of your life. With this in mind, you may think about questioning yourself if you have the need to be more time efficient. The fact of the matter is that many of us need the skills to achieve a certain degree of organization, but it is important to understand that time is not ours to control.

An essential part in your time management, is what the personal factor will play. Techniques and systems that you are offered are simpler to evaluate. once you understand this rule. You will discover that you do not require much more than the basics for effective scheduling and planning – an easy way in which to prioritize your activities, a relatively precise judgment on how much time each item takes you and some kind of a personal organizing system (be it a diary, notepad or electronic) in which to allocate times for every activity you have to do. A New Beginning

February 1st, 2010 2 comments »

Well it is now official!!

As of today, I start my new adventure as a full time Internet Marketer.

Of course as I step into this new venture, I have mixed emotions. Fear, Trepidation, Excitement, Relief. However, I am not going to let anything get in my way to making this work.

Now I understand, that in and of itself, Internet Marketing is also a job, however it is a job that you can do from anywhere, as long as you have a computer and an Internet connection.

Also, I understand that in the early days/months of Internet Marketing, there is a lot of work in putting down your foundations and creating products. However in the long run, not as the amount of effort required to make money in this arena, becomes less and less (if you do the right things, on a consistent basis).

There is however the need to treat this as a job in the early stages. Make sure that you put in the time to make it all work.

I know working from home can be very distracting, especially when your work involves the Internet. It is so easy to be sidetracked by email, Facebook, Twitter, and other web sites. All of these are important, but if they are not done in a controlled manner, you will find that they will simply stop you from doing any real work that will ultimately make you the money that we all want to be making.

This is why, the first product that I have created & am launching here today is the “Time Management Mindset“.

You see, as an Internet Marketer, we need to manage our time more effectively than those that have jobs. In a job, you have a boss that usually makes sure that you are getting your work done. But as an Internet Marketer, you only really have yourself. So at all times you must make sure that you are doing the most profitable task at any one time.

Sometimes, the most important task will be to spend 30 minutes on Twitter or Facebook. Other times you should be in the forums, asking questions and helping others. Or you might be answering emails, and responding to support requests. Or most importantly spending time your time with family & friends.

You see without a proper Time Management Plan, our priorities can get all screwed up. We start to spend Major Time on Minor Things, and of course, Minor Time on Major Things.

So if you are interested, I invite you to visit my latest site; The Time Management Mindset.

To Your Success,

Rob Willis

Let’s Get Serious!

January 22nd, 2010 No comments »

Now we can either dabble in our Internet Marketing endeavours, or we can start to get serious!

In all honesty my efforts to date can be classified as dabbling. I have not taken the power of the industry seriously.

I can always make excuses. ‘Too many distractions’, or ‘Busy doing the day job’, or perhaps ‘Life just got in the way’.

I have been making excuses for far too long. It is time that I get serious about my Internet Marketing endeavours.

As of the 1st of February 2010, I can call myself a full time Internet Marketer. I have quit my day job, and will be throwing myself into Internet Marketing in a big way.

You see, to date, I have been very comfortable in my job. I worked 3 days a week as an IT consultant & got paid better than many people who are working full time.

As such, I have not needed to make my Internet Marketing work. I have been too comfortable.

Back in mid December after attending a conference in Sydney, Australia. Put on by Thought Leaders ( check out http://thoughtleaderscentral.com) I decided ‘Enough is Enough!’, I need to get serious about this whole Internet Marketing thing!

As such, I have now quit my job (ie my comfort zone), and have taken a leap of faith into the world of Internet Marketing.

As I have mentioned before, come the 1st of February 2010, I will be a full time Internet Marketer.

Now as I say, this is a serious ‘Leap of Faith’ as although I have been dabbling in IM for a while, I have never made any serious money. Definitely not enough to live off.

In saying that, I have never needed to make it work, because I have always earned money else where.

So here I am, with my cards on the table. I would like to take you on a journey. I plan on sharing with you all of my experiences, trials, mistakes & successes, as I take on the world and show you exactly what it takes to become successful (or perhaps what to avoid to become a failure.)

I have to succeed. I am married, with three kids at school. My wife works, but my loss of income will hurt. So I cannot afford to lose!

So All I ask, is that you simply watch this space.

I hope to share with you my story of success, as well as the pitfalls along the way.

I would suggest, that you sign-up to my newsletter, so you can have me experiences delivered directly to your inbox on a regular basis.

Here’s to our Success,

Rob Willis

The Passing Of A Legend

December 8th, 2009 1 comment »

The Passing of a Legend

Jim Rohn, a treasured mentor & teacher, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009.

For nearly 50 years Jim traveled the world and inspired the people he came in contact with. I loved how unique Jim was. He always had a very unique take on something that we had heard many times before. He could always get a new nugget out of an old truth. No one set the standard of excellence higher than Jim, and his unique ability to transmit complex ideas into easy-to-understand actions is without peer. His mortal life may have transitioned, however his message, his contribution, his works, his integrity and humility are immortal. His voice will be heard for generations to come.

He raised the bar in our industry to an incredible level, never having to tout or promote his works from the platform. His lessons sold themselves. He never sought fame nor material riches. He was, is and will always be one of the world’s most authentic and valuable teachers in how to live successfully.

Jim Rohn touched millions of lives over the past 46 years through his seminars, books, articles and CDs. He was known to stay long after an event, shaking hands, taking pictures and signing autographs. He loved making a difference in people’s lives—that was his passion and inspiration. Yet he was also a private man who kept a small, loyal and caring inner circle. He was a tremendous friend to those who knew him.

Harold Dyke, long-time close friend of Jim’s for over 55 years, said it best, “As Jim is ending one life, he is simultaneously being birthed into a new life, one that he has talked about over the years and anticipated with great joy in his last days.”

Kyle Wilson, long-time colleague and friend of Jim, had this to say about his mentor: “Jim Rohn was a great human being. Jim had the rare ability to take any concept or idea and then frame it in such a way that the rest of us could see it more clearly. His wisdom and insights positively affected everyone he touched on some level and to so many of us it was in an extraordinary way. But even more impressive was Jim Rohn the man. He possessed style and charisma, yet was humble, kind and understated to all who knew him. I find myself every day reflecting, benefiting from and passing on the wisdom and ideas that are rooted in Jim’s message and wisdom. Jim is irreplaceable on every level. I will miss him beyond words, but am comforted as I know he was, that his message and legacy will live on and positively change millions of lives over the years to come!”

Someone once said, “When you are born, you enter the world crying while everyone else is rejoicing, and when you die, hopefully, you have lived such a life that everyone will be crying while you are rejoicing.” Jim Rohn lived such a life.

Darren Hardy, dedicated student and Jim Rohn protégé for more than 15 years, said of Jim, “He was the most influential man in my life, second only to my father. Jim cemented my philosophical foundation and nourished my mind with ideas and ambitions never before imagined. He chiseled my character seminar by seminar, tape by tape, book by book, then CD by CD, hour by hour. Jim emboldened my belief, in me and in my most daring dreams. When I fell and was bloodied, he was there with encouraging words to help me get back up. When I didn’t think I could go on, Jim convinced me I was stronger than I imagined. When I wanted a shortcut, he reminded me there aren’t any. Even when I got too caught up in trying to achieve and succeed, Jim compelled me to leave room to live, to laugh and to love.”

Stuart Johnson, business associate and long-time admirer, said, “I was first introduced to the philosophies and teachings of Jim Rohn almost 25 years ago. And he made an immediate impression on me. I was amazed by how this modest and unassuming man could communicate such an extraordinarily powerful message in simple and straightforward terms. In person, one-on-one, he was as humble and down-to-earth as he was in front of an audience of thousands. I will treasure my personal memories of Jim and know that I will forever benefit from the wisdom of this remarkable man.”

There will be a private funeral held in the coming days. Plans and details are also being arranged for a Public Memorial Service to be held in the Los Angeles area in the near future. Details will be announced upon final confirmation at the Jim Rohn Tribute Site, where you will also find a special tribute to Jim. You are also encouraged to post your thoughts and remembrances of Jim on the Memorial Wall.

Stop Buying Every Second Offer That Comes Your Way!

November 24th, 2009 3 comments »

As a wannabe Internet marketer, we seem to be more susceptible to each and every offer that come our way.

We can be so desperate to make money online, that every time we receive an email about the next “money making scheme” we tend to jump on board with hopes that this time things will be different….

Well let me tell you from experience, the next offer will be just like the rest, and in most cases a complete waste of money. In my experience, the higher the price tag, the bigger the waste of money. (There are exceptions to this rule, but I will get into that shortly.)

You see I have spent a lot of money on furthering my Internet Marketing endeavours, and to be honest, I could have spent a tenth of the price and be further ahead than where I am today.

You see every email list you sign up to, is simply priming you to accept there next offer.

To be completely honest, as an Internet marketer myself, I would love to sell you every widget under the sun.

However, my integrity prevents me from doing so. I offer you information and advise based on my own experience, and from time to time I look to entertain my followers as you will see in some of the videos I have published on my site.

If I ever make a suggestion towards a particular product, it is because I also use & believe in it. You will find that I will never advertise a product I do not use myself!

I am currently working on a few products that will help the Internet Newbie, as well as the seasoned Internet Wannabes…..

Internet Marketing, to be honest is a very crowded niche, and to break into it can be very difficult. (As I am finding out)

With the help of mentors like Alex Jeffreys, we can move to the next level.

Group coaching is fantastic, and from my experience with Alex Jeffreys, It has been absolutely amazing!!!!

But …. Many people who try this course or some other, do not have the same motivation. They need to be held accountable for what they are trying to achieve.

What I am trying to say is group coaching, like what Alex Jeffreys offer is fantastic, but many of us need just that little bit more.

I know from personal experience, I sometimes need to be held accountable for what I am currently working on. I sometimes find that without clear direction and someone to make sure that I do what must be done, I can quite easily be sidetracked and end up doing something that is not quite so productive.

My first suggestion to anyone that is wanting to move forward in their Internet marketing career is to unsubscribe from all of the newsletters that are currently filling your inbox each week. Yo need to do this so as to remove the distractions and temptation to buy that next magic pill.

Look, I now some people are going to get upset with me on this point, but we need to clear our lives of all the clutter and simply focus on just one project or program at a time.

From personal experience, I can say I have been working on one project, and then I get an email from some Internet Guru, who tells me that John Smith has the next best thing since the invention of Clickbank, and if you sign up today using his link he will include $2,372 worth of free bonuses. Yes I am sure you know what I am talking about.

Simply put these are distractions!!!! You need to pay attention to your current project and forget everything else. Simply stay the course.

Hey I can hear some people saying, that the current project is not working… Well if you have given it your all, and if is not giving you results after say 60 days, well maybe look at moving on to something different, but I must suggest that you give it time & effort before giving up. Don’t just jump on the bandwagon for the next big thing.

I would also suggest that you make a List!

Write out a goals list, then from there, write out a to do list. Prioritise your list then start on item number one. When you finish Item one, move onto number two, and so on. If this does not double your productivity, nothing else will.

If you have been in the IM game for a while, I am sure you have plenty of courses & ebooks cluttering your Hard Drive. Start with these before you buy anything else.

If you are looking for that magic pill… It doesn’t exist. Only hard work and dedication will help you move forward.

Look out for my post in the Internet Wealth Creators site I am currently working on. I will be asking for your input about what you want out of a coaching program.

To Your Success,

Rob

Traffic Attracting Ideas For A Newly Created Website.

October 11th, 2009 9 comments »

Now you have created your new website and you’re keen to start making some money! But, how can you make money if you do not have large numbers of traffic to your website?

One of the biggest challenges which people starting a new online business discover is that of attracting visitors to their website. You will discover 4 important steps that you should follow to begin attracting traffic to your site within this report.

1. – Make sure that the content of your website is original. Websites are looked at by the search engine robots on a regular basis looking for sites with new and fresh content. It is therefore imperative for you to publish new and great quality content that will get your site quickly indexed by the search engines.

2. – Your website must have all your keywords. It is important that you have all the relevant keywords and phrases that relate to your subject on your web pages and any articles you post on your site. This will improve your website rating on search engines which means that your site will rank higher when people search for keywords associated with your subject on the search engines. You should therefore get more traffic to your website via the search engines. People will spend more time on your site, when they see the high quality content and stay longer, and ultimately purchase your product or service that you sell or join your mailing list.

3. – You will need to submit your website to the search engines because it is new. An important step in getting more visitors from the search engines is to submit your URL to them so the search engines are aware of your site. When people look for information related to your niche in the search engines, they will be able to find your website by having the URL of your site listed by the search engines.

4. – Swap some website links with websites that have a high popularity rank (PR). An effective way to drive more traffic to your website is to exchange links with already popular and related websites. This will also help your site to improve its ranking. You will get some visitors coming to your site through other websites that you have swapped links with.

By using the ideas outlined in the report, you will realize that improving your website traffic and getting more people to visit your new website can be very simple to do. By following these four simple steps you should see an increase of visitors to your site which should result in an increase in sales and online profits for your internet business.

Forums – Talk And Make Money

September 29th, 2009 1 comment »

Discussion

If you have a website about a topic you enjoy, you can make money from discussion forums. Talk, post links to your site, get traffic. Traffic means money, right? If not, try different affiliate programs or Google Adwords. The worst sites should get a couple cents per visitor. Now here’s how to talk and make money.

Search “forum” plus the topic of your site on Google or Alta Vista. For my first site, I searched “backpacking + forum” and in the pages of results I found several good forums. I also searched related topics like “hiking” too. You can also check about.com, and other sites that have forums on many topics.

Registration is usually giving your email address and choosing a password. Some forums allow guests to post without registering. Once registered, browse the forum topics, and post a response to anything, just to “learn the ropes”.

Income From Discussion Forums

The point of posting in forums is to get readers to come to your web site. Sure it’s fun to give advice and discuss things of interest to you, but that’s secondary. With that in mind, do the following:

1. Always link to your site. If they don’t allow any links, find another forum.

2. Don’t “spam.” Sales pitches will be removed. Offer honest advice, or express an opinion, then sign off with your name and the link to your site.

3. Ask for help from others. This is an effective and acceptable way to “advertise.” Enter a topic like “Can I get some advice?” and post something like, “I just started a meditation site. If some of you would visit and tell me what you think, I’d really appreciate it.” Have a link to the site. People love to help, and to give opinions, and they’ll click on those ads while they’re at your site.

4. Look at total “views.” Many forums show the total times each “thread” has been viewed. When you see some with many more than others, get in on those, or start a new thread on the same topic. Go where the traffic is, and get some of it.

I didn’t like the idea of forums until I made a few posts, and saw my traffic and revenue climb for days afterwards. That convinced me. Just be polite, offer some value to others, and always have a link to your site. Many other secrets of using forums are covered in my newsletter, but this should be get you started. Talk and make money today.
